This is one of several short films I have seen where I noticed that the IMDb score wasn't even close to the arithmetic mean. In other words, the TRUE mean for this film is not 3.2 (as it's currently listed) but about 5.4. How IMDb comes up with these weighted means is uncertain, but too many times I've seen good films (like this one) with scores that seem to indicate they are bad films.
AWKWARD is a very simple story that is told with no dialog. Instead of the usual story, it's told using computer-generated characters that look vaguely human--and each is one of the three primary colors. The film shows a long sequence of events that leads them all to feel a bit stupid--but I won't elaborate any further because it would spoil the film. Suffice to say that the twist is excellent and the production values very good. Give it a try--at less than 3 minutes, what have you got to lose?!
