A Decent News/Police Drama, 1 September 2008
6/10
Author: crossbow0106 from United States

This film is about fashion reporter Elaine Tse (Lee Sin-Je or Angelica Lee) who breaks up with her boyfriend Peter, who also works for the newspaper as the breaking newsman. Peter dies while driving drunk on his motorcycle. Elaine believes he was murdered because Peter is allergic to alcohol. She enlists Fei (Anthony Wong) and a few other people to help her uncover the truth. This movie is somewhat slow paced, it is very methodical. Ms. Sin-Je is a good actress with piercing dark eyes, they cut through you. I liked her more in "The Eye", "Recycle" and "Princess D", but she is fine here, she just doesn't have as intriguing a character to play. The movie keeps your interest, but it is not exciting. As the plot thickens you see little flashes of what is to come, which is good, but the film itself is not that great. If you're an Angelica Lee fan (and I am) then you'll want to see this, ditto if you're an Anthony Wong fan. Otherwise, its not bad but films like this have been done much better.
