- Continuity: When Nick is yelling at Annie he is pointing with his left hand from the front shots. Then you see a shot from Nick's perspective of Annie and he is pointing with his right hand.
- Factual errors: The car hot wired outside the jewlery store is a Mercedes Benz with an ignition system that cannot be started in any way at all without the electronic key. This system is called DAS, Drive Authorization System. There is no way they could have started that car without the key to 'authorize' the starting of the vehicle.
- Continuity: After Nick writes "HEY ANNIE" on the model plane at the end, the plane is shown flying around but there is no writing visible on the wing.
- Continuity: When Nick was walking home from the party, he kicked over a big trash can and a trash bag. The big trash can landed in the middle of the street and rested on one of its handles. The very next close up shot of Nick, you can clearly see in the background that the trash bag and trash can are back on the curb.
- Revealing mistakes: When you see Pete looking at the ticket, you can see that the band-aid is on his right thumb, even though he was cut on his left thumb.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Annie shoots Marcus her gun locks open due to it being her last bullet. Hard to believe anyone takes their gun to a gun battle with only one bullet in it, other then Barney Fife.
- Plot holes: When the police are rushing to the dam, Detective Larsen asks Detective Tunney how long until the dam opens. She says 15 minutes. Yet, she waits until they are standing on the dam to use her cell phone to call to have the water shut off.
- Anachronisms: The Kingdome (the old arena where the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks used to play) appears in a shot of the Seattle skyline. The Kingdome was destroyed in 2000, several years before the film was to have taken place.
