Well nobody saw this coming. The star of Nimrod Antal's Predators is not a Rock or a Vin or an undiscovered new Arnie. It's the willowy Adrien Brody. Who would've thunk it?We have, of course, seen Brody hacking through the jungle before, as Jack Driscoll in Peter Jackson's King Kong. But he's still best known for dramatic roles in films like Polanski's The Pianist, or quirky indie fare like Hollywoodland and The Darjeeling Ltd.He's clearly looking to add some more mainstream strings to his bow however, since Brody and his agents apparently lobbied hard to get the role of "a heroic mercenary who battles to keep his team alive when its members are hunted by the aliens". Is "heroic mercenary" an oxymoron? Discuss. That team also includes Danny Trejo, Alice Braga (I Am Legend), Walton Goggins (Detective Vendrell from The Shield), Ultimate Fighter Oleg Taktarov, and Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, »

Ben Affleck is stepping back behind the camera following the success of 2007’s Gone Baby Gone.
The Oscar-winner will direct and star in The Town, based on a novel by Charles Hogan. The film will also star Mad Men star Jon Hamm and Vicky Christina Barcelona’s Rebecca Hall.
Ten years ago Ben Affleck was one of the hottest young stars in Hollywood. Following the commercial and critical success of the Oscar-winning Good Will Hunting, Affleck and his best friend Matt Damon were the toast of Hollywood.
Then after a few questionable career choices (Gigli, Daredevil) and a high profile relationship with Jennifer Lopez, it appeared that Affleck had come to a crossroads with his career. After spending a couple of years avoiding the spotlight he took supporting roles as George Reeves in Hollywoodland and State of Play opposite Russell Crowe.
It looks like Affleck is now carving out a niche as an actor-writer-director. »

I just got back from the holidays [when I did it]. Did I eat too much? Am I going to look good? You look at those things, not, ‘Oh, I'm doing another gay role.’”
Interestingly, Gregory didn’t even consider the aspect of doing two prominent gay roles until his manager said to him, "You know you're doing another gay role. »

Scores: Technical: 90, Story: 95, Acting: 100, Overall: 98 First off, let me say I usually despise political drama/thrillers. I think they are all basically the same. It is a very rare occasion that I can sit through one of these and not see the ending coming a mile away. As if Robert Pattinson doesn't already have enough to do, he's now in talks to star in romantic drama Memoirs. Summit Entertainment is set to finance the project, with Allen Coulter (Hollywoodland) linked as a possible director.
This could prove to be a wise move on Summit's behalf, and you can bet your life savings that every Twilight fan would flock to the theater to see their favorite bronze-haired vampire. Don't believe us? You only have to mention Little Ashes -- a film which sees Pattinson starring as artist Salvador Dali -- to be greeted with a fangirl squeal of epic proportions. Already planning to reunite with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke for 2011's teen tearjerker If I Stay, Summit certainly isn't stupid in their quest for Hollywood domination.

It's tough to fault any of the moves Summit Entertainment has made in the past six months since all this Twilight stuff really took hold. About the only thing I can come up with is that maybe the studio is rushing the sequels into theaters. But the DVD thing was huge and the studio's other projects, like Knowing, the new number one movie in the country, have hit the mark.
And now Summit has secured the talents of Robert Pattinson for a non-Twilight film called Memoirs. It's being described as a romantic drama and Variety says that Allen Coulter (Hollywoodland) will direct and that Rachel Getting Married writer Jenny Lumet is being targeted to re-write a script by Will Fetters.
Memoirs "centers on a pair of star-crossed lovers who meet and fall in love while struggling to deal with family tragedies that threaten their relationship." And one of them is a vampire! »

Twilight star Robert Pattinson reportedly is mulling over sinking his fangs into a hot-blooded romance with a script rewritten by the screenwriter behind Rachel Getting Married.
