Excellent film, worth seeing, 14 September 2006
10/10
Author: vcrite

When the director spoke about the film during questions and answer session that followed a screening at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival, he mentioned that when he pitched his screenplay for this movie, they loved the script, but would not take the risk of letting him be the director because he was unproven.

HUGE MISTAKE! A small studio took the risk and the result is a movie that is way funnier than anything that Hollywood has churned out in the past year. Not only that, but it has the craft and slickness of "A" Hollywood movie.

The movie starts with an American company making the decision to outsource to India the jobs of people who handle customer sales. Only one of the sales managers avoids the axe, if he will agree to go to India to train his replacements. A hilarious clash of cultures occurs as the American interacts in India.

At my screening the audience laughed throughout and they gave a huge round of applause at the credits.
