I'll be honest, if you see this movie and your expecting an all out thriller, then you can relax. I understand that people worked on this film for cases of beer.
Rather than compare this to Revenge of the Sith (given both films are on the darker side) and whine about the lack story, acting or editing, it would be better to suggest that this movie is taken as a bit of an experiment for film makers who have little money yet.
Given this, the actors gave an above par performance for the beer they received, the story line was clever with it's dream sequences with in the dream sequences, and the final cut was polished enough to warrant DVD distribution. While it's a little chaotic in it's editing, James (Justin Greenaway) delivers clever lines with some charm (Princess Fairy Lips?) and it works as a movie that shows what anybody with a keen interest in the business can do with their hand held cameras and home movie editing software.
Strange James doesn't just demonstrate some potential as a good movie that could have done better with a bigger budget and more time, but also shows other budding film makers and actors that they too can start to reach their potential.
Everyone in the Film making industry has to take some first steps and I am looking forward to those involved in this project taking their next steps.
