Jennifer Morrison on Departing 'House M.D.': Yes

11 November 2009 12:26 AM, PST | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

In "The Bonnie Hunt Show" interview scheduled to be aired on Wednesday, November 11, Jennifer Morrison sets straight the confusion whether her character will be yanked out of "House M.D.". Morrison gives a nod when Bonnie Hunt throws the question "You're done with House?", saying further "I am as far as I know, yes."

Back in August, there was a rumor that Cameron, the character played by Morrison, will be written off the story after she is having troubles with her husband Chase. It stems from the fourth episode of this season when an ailing ruthless dictator forces the team to split their moral obligation and logic. Chase did not tell his wife that he had forged the patient's test results, causing the dictator to lose his life.

Last month Executive Producer David Shore spilled that Morrison's departure will not be permanent. "Dr Chase is going to face a consequence from his actions, »

The nominees for the 36th Annual People's Choice Awards has been unveiled Tuesday, November 10, and country singer Taylor Swift has received three nominations. The "You Belong with Me" hitmaker thus leads the pack in the music field, collecting more nods than fellow singers Carrie Underwood, Beyonce Knowles and Lady GaGa.

Through the announcement made at the Sls Hotel in Beverly Hills, it is uncovered that 19-year-old Swift will be competing against last year's favorite Underwood in two categories, Favorite Female Artist, for which she will be up against Beyonce as well, and Favorite Country Artist. She, moreover, vies for Favorite Pop Artist and is in competition with GaGa, Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Black Eyed Peas for the title.

Beside Swift, other young Hollywoods collecting nominations for the awards are "Twilight" trio, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. In addition to the nod for Favorite On-Screen Team, Pattinson, Stewart »

List of 36th People's Choice Awards Nominees in TV

10 November 2009 6:52 PM, PST | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

The vampires are feasting on the nominations list of 2010 People's Choice Awards. Announced Tuesday, November 10 at Beverly Hills' Sls Hotel, "True Blood" is among the shows gathering three nods. The CW's "The Vampire Diaries" follows next with two.

The HBO show takes in almost all the categories possible for one show to achieve, only missing the spot in Favorite Drama Actor. Meanwhile, as a newcomer "The Vampire Diaries" attains the honor to battle it out with "True Blood", "Lost", "Heroes" and "Supernatural" in the category of Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show.

However, not only the blood suckers are dominating the list but also the doctors. Representing "Grey's Anatomy" are Seattle Grace medical practitioners such as Patrick Dempsey and Katherine Heigl, and from "House M.D.", it's the chief of Princeton Plainsboro, Hugh Laurie.

In the comedy categories, this year's Emmys winner "30 Rock" fails to secure a slot in the Favorite Comedy but »

'House M.D.' 6.08 Preview: Teamwork

10 November 2009 12:03 AM, PST | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

All new on "House M.D.", House angles to form a dream team after his medical license is reinstated and he reclaims his role as Head of Diagnostic. Said as the biggest case faced by House yet, the mission is made difficult with Cameron and Chase's marriage being on the rock.

Meanwhile, Cuddy is reminded that the hospital is not conducive to healthy personal relationships. As for the medical case, House is back in time to treat Hank Hardwick (guest star Troy Garity), an adult film star admitted to Princeton Plainsboro for pulsating eye pain. "Teamwork" airs on Monday, November 16.

There would be two more episodes of "House" left in this year before it continues the second half in January 2010. It was reported back in September that Jennifer Morrison aka Cameron will bow out from the show after the November sweeps end.

Three New Clips From Tonight’s ‘House’

9 November 2009 1:15 PM, PST | The Flickcast | See recent The Flickcast news »

For the most part, medical dramas tend to come and go pretty regularly on network TV. Some stick around and have a pretty successful run, such as E.R. or Chicago Hope, and some are long gone before you can even remember the show’s name, like Heartland starring Treat Williams. Thankfully, Fox’s House falls under the former category.

Now in it’s sixth season, House is picking up steam like never before, and we’ve got some brand new clips from tonight’s episode, “Known Unknowns.” In the episode, House must deal with the perils of the office while away at a medical conference, while Foreman (Omar Epps) treats a returning patient.

In the first clip, the sardonic Hugh Laurie as House discusses his distaste for the returning trend of the 1980s. In the second, Foreman checks out a former patient who goes through some hallucinations that could prove deadly. »

Can Cast Revival Cure Fox's 'House' Monotony?

26 October 2009 8:24 AM, PDT | BuzzFocus.com | See recent BuzzFocus.com news »

I have watched every episode of House M.D. since it started in 2004. It’s nothing I brag about. It’s nothing I’m incredibly proud of, but I do continue to watch it. I continue to watch it for two reasons. Hugh Laurie is a great actor, even beyond his ability to voice an American as if he’s lived here his entire life. And because when the show is on its game, it has a good sense of humor, despite its scenarios being miles beyond anything that would constitute reality in today’s lawsuit-crazed society. And occasionally, Laurie gets a truly interesting secondary character to play with. Outside of that, objectively speaking, the show is rubbish. For five complete seasons, the formula has been almost identical. The crew is presented with a thought-to-be unsolvable case. They all, including Dr. Gregory House, make a series of failed attempts at diagnosing it, »

Scott Foley and Marika Dominczyk Expecting First Child

23 October 2009 9:14 PM, PDT | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

Confirming statement is yet to be made by Scott Foley and Marika Dominczyk that they are expecting a baby, but the actress' growing belly speaks for all. She was spotted sporting noticeable baby bump while attending the premiere of her new film "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" late last month.

Weekly publication People reports the actress is in her third trimester. The not-yet-born baby will be the first child for Scott and Marika, who have been married since June 2007.

Scott Foley was previously married to screen beauty Jennifer Garner. The pair, who co-starred in TV series "Felicity", married from 2000 to 2003 and has no children together.

On screen, Scott has been seen starring in several popular TV series, naming some are "House M.D.", "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", and "Scrubs". »

'Dollhouse' Benched in November

21 October 2009 8:47 PM, PDT | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

Fresh from the oven news, "Dollhouse" may disappear from the screen next month. In its exclusive report, Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly said that sources are confirming the benching of the Joss Whedon-created show in November.

The series starring Eliza Dushku will be back for December sweeps and Fox will air back-to-back episodes on Friday nights. This looks like a move made only to allow the show to complete the 13-episode order. There is no word yet on what Fox will air in November in replacement of the show.

Since its debut in midseason, "Dollhouse" has not been exactly stellar in rating. However, Fox chose it over "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" to get a second season.

Just this week, Joss Whedon talked about "Dollhouse" number when he was announced as a guest director of "Glee". He wrote, "No, this doesn't mean Dollhouse definitely won't get a back nine. »

'Hottest Woman In The World' Olivia Wilde Talks Wonder Woman And Female Superheroes

20 October 2009 9:16 AM, PDT | MTV Splash Page | See recent MTV Splash Page news »

We always try to find out about celebrities' comics savvy when they drop by MTV HQ, and it was no different when "House M.D." actress Olivia Wilde dropped by to promote her role on the television series and the upcoming "Tron Legacy" movie. Voted the "Hottest Woman in the World" by Maxim Magazine, Wilde didn't do anything to shake off that title when she stopped to chat about the geekery she spotted around my desk (a.k.a. Splash Page HQ) on her way out of the newsroom.

While she certainly doesn't drop by her local comics shop each week, she did have a fun story about her earliest comics-related memory: a fascination with Wonder Woman fed by the presence of the real-life Wonder Woman, Linda Carter, in her neighborhood.

"When I was little, I wanted to be Wonder Woman," Wilde told MTV News. "And the real Wonder Woman lived on our block. »

'House M.D.' 6.07 Preview: Known Unknowns

20 October 2009 1:01 AM, PDT | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

"House M.D." will take a two-week worth of break and return with "Known Unknowns" in the second week of November. Similarly, Cuddy, Wilson and House spend a weekend away from the hospital to attend a medical conference, but things don't go as planned when House's private investigator, Lucas, returns.

In the medical case, a teenage girl is brought to Princeton Plainsboro with severely swollen appendages after a wild night out. The team must work to diagnose the young girl, who is less than honest about what happened the night she fell ill. As her condition worsens, she becomes unable to distinguish fact from fiction.

Anna Lucia Attanasio guest stars as the teenage girl while Michael Weston returns to reprise his role as Lucas.

EW reported on Monday, October 19 that "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" alumna Sasha Alexander is coming to "House" in an episode airing either late December or early January. »

Sneak Peek's – House "Brave Heart"

18 October 2009 5:53 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

Grouchy Dr. House will face his toughest challenge tomorrow: himself.  Aptly titled "Brave Heart", tomorrow's House deals with a medical mystery involving – you guessed it – a heart, in this case one that apparently has nothing wrong with it at all, and proving they are experts at spreading metaphor like peanut butter, the House writers examine some of the emotional matters of heart as well: guilt, love, and all that good stuff.  Here are three clips from tomorrow's House, "Brave Heart".

The team takes on the case of a reckless police detective who has a family history of sudden heart failure that killed his father, grandfather and great-grandfather all at age 40. Though House is not keen on diagnosing the patient without any detectable symptoms, the team, urged by Cameron, attempts to identify his condition so the detective can live without fear of dying young. Meanwhile, Chase is haunted by his actions in the Dibala case, »

Titled "Brave Heart", this episode will follow the team when they take on the case of a reckless police detective who has a family history of sudden heart failure that killed his father, grandfather and great-grandfather all at age 40. Preview of 'House M.D.' 6.05: Instant Karma

6 October 2009 12:31 AM, PDT | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

The medical world is tested against belief when a boy is brought in for treatment but none of the staff knows what happen to him. Next week on "House M.D.", a wealthy businessman brings his teenage son, who is suffering from inexplicable stomach pains, to Princeton Plainsboro and insists on having Dr. House handle the case.

The father of the patient believes the karmic penalty of his financial success is that he is victim to personal tragedy, and that the answer to his son's medical mystery lies in a reverse of fate rather than medical treatment. Meanwhile, Foreman and Chase prepare to present information on the Dibala case. Thirteen also comes to House to announce that she is not going back on the team.

Titled "Instant Karma", the episode airs next Monday, October 12.

Daft Punk to Have a Cameo in 'Tron Legacy'

5 October 2009 7:23 PM, PDT | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

Daft Punk will contribute more than scoring the original music for "Tron Legacy" as their cameo appearance in the movie has been recently revealed. Bringing up the news to the surface was Olivia Wilde, who will be seen as Kevin's loyal confidant named Cora in the "Tron" sequel. To MTV News, she simply said, "They were in the movie."

Although revealing the cameo appearance, the depicter of Thirteen in "House M.D." didn't offer further details, especially on what role the duo known for their robot personas will take on. She did note, however, that Disney plans to feature them in future promotional efforts. She said, "There's some ideas in the works about how to incorporate them into a Comic-Con event."

Back in March, it was announced that Daft Punk have been signed to write the original music score for this movie. While both members, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, »

Highest Paid TV Stars

As we nibble away at the problem of world hunger and famine, TV stars are sipping on bubbly Cristal straight from the bottle. No one said life was fair but when you finish this article you might want to toss your cookies and begin a new career as an actor. We all know that Hollywood actors are paid well, and maybe we can justify it since they work eighteen hour days, but wait until you see their paycheck at the end of the day. David Letterman, Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien have a cushiony bed stuffed with money that late night hours don't bother them; their total salaries is over seventy-six million dollars. Even though we love to hate the filthy rich we are extremely intrigued by their large wallets. So let's take a trip through primetime television to see who is making what and who needs to step up! »

Meanwhile, Wilson tries to make peace with a feuding neighbor, but House's prying exacerbates the problem. House himself is in the middle of his mission to get his job back.

TV Review: Improved ‘Lie to Me’ Returns With Promising Season Premiere

28 September 2009 12:20 PM, PDT | HollywoodChicago.com | See recent HollywoodChicago.com news »

Chicago – When “Lie to Me” premiered earlier this year, the show simply didn’t work. But a lot has happened since then.

The very talented Shawn Ryan (creator of “The Shield”) has come on board as executive producer and Tim Roth has expressed interest in developing his character as more than a cog in a mystery-of-the-week machine. Both the new emphasis on character and stronger writing makes for a season-two premiere that hints at a show with much more potential than when the series began.

Television Rating: 3.5/5.0 Back in January, I wrote, “Cluttered TV scripts reek of desperation and “Lie To Me” is just not well-written. Roth is good and Williams isn’t bad, but TV has always been and will always be about the writing and the pilot for “Lie To Me” is a mess. The cases, the dialogue, the supporting characters - none of it works.”
