After devouring a security guard's brain, a zombie picks up a phone the guard had been speaking into and says, "Send more security guards!" This pays direct homage to the original "The Return of the Living Dead" (1985), in which a zombie who devours a paramedic picks up a CB radio the paramedic had been speaking into and says, "Send more cops!"

Goofs:

Crew or equipment visible: When the severed arm is being re-animated in the chamber, the rubber mat on the bottom or the container can be seen lifting with the actors arm as he lifts it.

Breaking from the classics was a mistake

The first two Return of the Living Dead films were camp classics. I have yet to find a copy of RotLD 3, so no judgment there.

Necropolis is simply a bad film. The acting is sub-par even for the genre, the make-up and effects are nothing new, elements of the story and even the visuals are lifted almost directly from other films,in particular the existing Resident Evil films.

The best part of this film was watching the crew outtakes that roll during the credits. If they'd just made 2 hours of guys in zombie makeup goofing around, it would have been more worth watching.

I sincerely hope that this film doesn't set a bad precedent for the Romanian and Ukranian crews involved in its making.
