Teasers for the show, seen on some Cartoon Network videos and DVDs, reveal that it was originally going to have a very different look and feel. They show very jerky animation and no shading. Ami has ponytails instead of buns, and Yumi has a fang sticking out of her mouth.

Not Very Bad

When I saw this show advertised in Cartoon Network, I thought it was imported from Japan because two popular singers from that country are being portrayed. Later, I found out this show actually originated in the US. When I started watching the show itself, it wasn't bad at all. The graphics are identical to that of shows like; Dexter's Laboratory and Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. It can sometimes be as funny as those shows too. The characters are okay. Among them, Ami is my favorite. She reminds of Star Fire from Teem Titans, not just in appearance, but even in personality. Yumi is okay. This character is a bit like Buttercup from the Powerpuff Girls in terms of attitude. But like Raven of Teen Titans, she's less expressive in emotions. One thing that makes this show have a great score is it's usage of rock music. We rarely encounter shows with things like this
