Miss Armstrong Goes to Washington

Paige Armstrong, an impossibly wide-eyed "aw shucks" ingénue with a permanent stupid smile that makes her look like she has smoked everything available in Jamaica, starts working in the Capitol in Washington, and will end up involved in illegal filtering of information that causes the death of an American pilot (the fact that he dies during a napalm attack in Columbia which probably caused the death of hundreds of disposable non-US citizens is something no one cares about). She then decides to run against the Senator who's the boss of her former boyfriend who made her filter the info. Terribly unappealing and boring pilot starring a terribly unappealing and boring so-called actress, which wisely was not picked, so we don't have to suffer a weekly ration of this pseudo-Capracorn at our homes. I didn't know this was a pilot when I watched it, and spent the whole time wondering what the hell Tom Berenger's character had to do with anything. Oh, I forgot to tell that this female Jefferson Smith has a golden rule about not having sex for three months after starting dating a guy. And she's a liberal! We're supposed to find her "decent" and that stuff, but I still don't get why sex is so evil for everyone.

1/10. If people like this Armstrong girl are what the Democrats have to offer, no wonder that Dubya got re-elected...
