Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

The girls make a pact that no one but the wearer should remove the pants.

Bridget follows Eric to a cantina (against the rules) and starts to dance provocatively with him.

Bridget purposefully walks past Eric's room, wearing a shirt tied up to expose her belly and open to show her red bikini top or bra beneath it (with some cleavage showing). He then follows her to the beach at night where the two end up passionately kissing. It's implied that she loses her virginity to him, as we see her walking back to her room, looking shaken and/or dazed. She then writes to Lena that it happened just as she imagined it would, but rather than feeling complete, she now feels empty.

Lena goes swimming in her bra and panties. A boy jumps in the water to swim after her (he only takes his shirt off). Lena's grandmother is upset when she sees drawings Lena made of Costa with his shirt off. Later, Lena and Costa passionately kiss goodbye.

We briefly see Bridget's underwear while she is trying on some pants.

Violence & Gore

Upset that her dad has left her to play tennis with Paul, Carmen is very aggressive in her play, resulting in one of her shots hitting Paul quite hard on the head (he's okay and Carmen apologizes for doing that).

Carmen throws a rock at a window, cracking the glass, angry at her father and his family within.

During an argument, several people shove each other.

Profanity

At least 3 asses, 2 hells, 6 uses of "Oh, my God," 4 of "Oh, God" and 2 of "God."

Roberta, a Wallman's employee, smokes several times, while some other workers smoke as well.

We learn that Bailey has leukemia and they've stopped giving her any treatment for it. Later, she is seen in the hospital and in bad shape. She eventually dies.

Bridget's mother commits suicide, and her funeral is shown at the beginning of the movie (although the actual suicide is not). The emotional impact of this is evident with Bridget throughout the film.

Near the end of the movie, Carmen finally calls her father on the phone and lets him know how she feels about their relationship. It can be considered intense because Carmen breaks down and starts crying pretty hard.
