Terrence Malick casts his dreamy eye to a classic proto-American tale of mythic proportions for this tale of Europeans in Eden. British officer John Smith (Colin Farrell) is a 16th century Mother Nature's Son who spends his days wandering the natural beauty of the new world with awe and tranquility and Pocahontas (Q'Orianka Kilcher) is a dyed in the wool (with all natural berries, of course) romantic as well as the original flower child. Christian Bale, Christopher Plummer, August Schellenberg, Wes Studi and David Thewlis co-star. Malick recut the film after its world premiere. This disc features the amended 135 minute version.
