I am appalled that the book that I fell in love with 5 years ago practically has nothing to do with the movie, I respected this book and it brought me and my friends together from the enjoyment it brought us. You could have changed the names and the title and I would not have been even associated it with the book.
Its a good Hollywood movie if you haven't read the book, and there are some things they did right like the wolves being beautiful. But when I left the theater I was disgusted.
Things that made the book so wonderful to me were not even there, it was another Hollywood werewolf 'gothic' type movie. It had nothing to do with the plot, everything was different and the characters described in the movie did not match at all to the descriptions in the book, at least in Harry Potter they followed the book somewhat. The book was perfect as it was.
In the end one has to wonder if the people in charge of the movie really cared about the fans, the ones who have backed the story for years or if we don't matter anymore,on money.
