Not quite a definitive list, but a good attempt!

Think of some of the most disgusting records that have ever inflicted themselves upon the public ear, and chances are that a good many of them will have been included in this countdown of musical monstrosities. Everyone has their own opinion of what constitutes true aural awfulness, of course, but surely few sane people could argue with the inclusion of Michael Jackson's 'Earth Song', USA for Africa's 'We Are The World'(as one guest says, it "sucked donkey"!), Cliff Richard's 'Millennium Prayer'(lest we forget, this was the little offering that took the tune of 'Auld Lang Syne' and the words to the Lord's Prayer, and featured a video clip that had Cliff singing "forgive us our sins" whilst footage of a Nazi concentration camp played behind him), Technohead's 'I Wanna Be A Hippy', virtually every European techno record (most notably anything by 2 Unlimited), 'Don't It Make You Feel Good' by Stefan Dennis and the Cheeky Girls' paean to bottom-touching, 'The Cheeky Song'. There are also (dis)honourable mentions for the Spice Girls, One True Voice, Kylie Minogue, Babylon Zoo and plenty of tiresome novelty records - remember 'There's No-one Quite Like Grandma' or 'Orville's Song'? Some of the choices are frankly unfair (Starship's 'We Built This City' is classic eighties cheese-rock, and Richard Harris's 'MacArthur Park' defies criticism with its self-proclaimed bombastic pomposity) and the show tends to feature too many talking heads you've never heard of, but it's all painless entertainment that's bound to provoke some lively arguments, particularly if you were sad enough to buy any of the ill-advised musical forays from virtually any soap stars...which begs the question, where's 'Something Outta Nothing' by Paul Medford and Letitia Dean?!
