This is one of my all time favorite Japanese series. The live action ran 9 episodes, but in the short run you actually start to care about the characters. The partnership between the two leads feels real and tangible.
It has it all, humor, romance, crime, and drama. Ito Misaki and Hara Sachie are outstanding in the leads of Officer Natsumi Tsujimoto and Officer Kobayakawa Miyuki from the traffic division. In the opening episode these two traffic officers break up what they think is an armed robbery. After they total trash the perps in a cheesy fight sequence that involves radishes they find that they have beaten up their superior from the Detective branch who were conducting an exercise. The fun goes on from there, but they also explore some social issues about bullying as well.
Not to be over looked this is a great series.
