Tim Allen goes alpha dog in the big screen remake of the 1959 Disney comedy -- the studio's first live action film, in fact. He plays a workaholic trial lawyer who crosses paths a supernatural collie and ends up with canine tendencies, such as scratching himself in the middle of trials and uncontrollable impulse chase sticks and neighborhood cats, before going full blown shaggy dog. Robert Downey Jr. does villain duty, Kristin Davis is the frustrated wife, Spencer Breslin and Zena Grey are the neglected kids, and Danny Glover, Jane Curtin, and Philip Baker Hall co-star. Brian Robbins directs.
