Ah, the high concept rom com: throwing attractive people together in wacky situations since the dawn of cinema itself (well, since the 30s at least). And now we have a trailer for the latest incarnation - The Bounty Hunter, starring Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston. How does it look? Much like Fool's Gold, or Hitch, two of director Andy Tenant's previous movies, and again finds two sexy actors bickering, scrapping and generally trying to prove they have chemistry together. On their own, Butler and Aniston have done some good work, but on the evidence of this trailer, we're not yet sure they work as a pair. Butler's contending with a slightly awkward American accent and Aniston appears to be falling back on her usual blend of nervy/cute tics. The basic premise of the promo - which snuck out over the weekend - finds Butler's dogged bounty hunter assigned

A couple of days ago, I put up a poster for Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler’s new movie, The Bounty Hunter. Today, Yahoo have debuted a trailer for their latest movie.
The Bounty Hunter is directed by Andy Tennant who has brought us movies previously which include Fool’s Gold, Hitch and Sweet Home Alabama. You may start to see a pattern emerging which starts to paint a picture that they’re all the same cutsie style of romantic comedies. Is that a problem, not really, I actually quite like them. I was thoroughly entertained by Fool’s Gold and I think everyone else hated it!
The Bounty Hunter is about a man who is hired to carry out the bounty on his his ex-wife and it should be with us 16th April.

And, by little, I mean a very small amount. In all fairness this concept of taking two people who can’t stand each other and handcuffing them together hasn’t been done in about ten minutes. Personally, I’d rather watch Laurence Fishburne and Stephen Baldwin hate on each other for 90 minutes than anyone and Jennifer Aniston. The Bounty Hunter is directed by Andy Tennant, the guy who brought us Ever After, Fools Rush In, Hitch, and Fool’S Gold so you know this is going to feature wall-to-wall action and excitement.
Oh, just check out the trailer, Gerard Butler’s bloody shirt and all:
For the record, I can’t say anything negative about Butler appearing in this film. In 2009, he’s appeared in Tales Of The Black Freight (voice), The Ugly Truther, Gamer, and Law Abiding Citizen. He does as much chick stuff as he does hardcore action.

The poster for The Bounty Hunter, the action comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler, has gone online over at Yahoo! Movies, and it’s… intriguing. The central image of Butler, who plays a bounty hunter forced to transport his ex-wife across country, and Aniston handcuffed together instantly brings to mind classic mismatched-or-handcuffed couples road movies of the past, such as It Happened One Night, Midnight Run and, erm, Fled, even if it’s a little static. The splashes of blood on the beleaguered Butler’s shirt also could be a hint that this won’t be the play-safe, happy-go-lucky, PG-13 comedy we were expecting, but perhaps a harder-edged, swearier, violence-flecked effort. Which would seem unlikely coming from Andy Tennant, director of Hitch, especially giving the hugely perky day-glo font. (Yes, we’re the font police)Click the image above for more pictures on Yahoo! MoviesSo we’re no closer

Eva Mendes gave up her childhood dreams of becoming a nun when she discovered they didn't get paid.
The sexy Hitch star admits she was a "prude" as a child and felt a convent career would be perfect for her - until her sister revealed the poor truths about nuns.
The Ghost Rider actress says, "We grew up, not in a poor, poor family, but lower-middle class; a lot of bills and my mother was always stressing about money and stuff. And I would promise her, 'Mum, I'm gonna buy you a house and pay all your bills one day.'
"My older sister... said, 'How you gonna do all this? Don't you know nuns don't get paid?' And I was like, 'What?'"

Paula Patton thinks playing a lesbian is important in "Precious"

If you weren't familiar with Paula Patton before Precious, you should get acquainted with her in the new issue of Giant magazine.
Being called "the next Halle Barry" is a great compliment, especially for a relatively new actress like Paula.
Her first film was 2005's Hitch and she's only been in a handful since then. Fortunately for her, she's been able to land parts in fairly high profile films like Idlewild from the men behind Outkast and now in Precious, which broke box office records this weekend.
Patton plays Ms. Rain, a lesbian teacher that helps Precious to question her life's worth and her sexuality. In this great video of interviews, Paula discusses her love of Gabby Sidibe (the actress who played Precious) and why it was important that her character be a lesbian.
With so many other stars in the film, it's important not to ignore Paula Patton — she's

Josh Duhamel is set to star in the Walt Becker-directed "What's He Got?" written by "Hitch" scribe Kevin Bisch. All that's known is that it's a high-concept romantic comedy. Becker will produce alongside Andrew Panay and Category 5's Brian Sher.
Disney put down $900,000 against $1.6 million to acquire the comedy pitch.
Becker directed the uproariously funny "Wild Hogs" for the studio as well as the upcoming "Old Dogs" which also stars John Travolta alongside Robin Williams and Travolta's wife Kelly Preston.

Bucking the recent trend of studio script buys drying up, Disney has just splashed some cash to purchase a comedy pitch called What's He Got for Transformers' Josh Duhamel to star in.
Walt Becker - who inflicted Wild Hogs (below) on the world, and looks like he'll do the same with Old Dogs - is attached to direct the film, though very little else is known about it.
Kevin Bisch, who wrote Hitch, penned this latest offering, which is described as a high concept romantic comedy.
So we decided to offer up some guesses. See which one...

#3 - The Bourne Identity
(John Powell)
Film music is a highly subjective artform. What really makes something musical in relation to a film has been changing since the days of the first "talkies", and the evolution of the medium is never standing still. Who would have ever thought that Hitch's Psycho shower scene would require nothing more from Herrmann than screaming violins – or that Williams would get away with a two-note theme in Jaws?
In 2002, when John Powell's The Bourne Identity music hit the 5.1 decoder in theaters, most people wondered "How could a guy score a film using mainly pulse percussion, techno synth patterns, and flourishes of orchestral staccato?" In fact, Powell's music for this entire franchise is oddly served up: He never really commits to a main theme (the "Identity" theme from Tbi is the most memorable of the three films) and he never really commits to a particular previously-established style.

With the recent release of Play The Game out in theaters scattered across the nation, I was able to talk to the writer and director of the independent comedy, Mark Fienberg.
Melissa: When it comes to creating David (Paul Campbell), how did you do it? Is there any sort of inspiration you drew from a family member, yourself or somebody?
Fienberg: Well, David as the ladies man was probably the ladies man that I hoped I would be someday, but not necessarily the ladies man I am. You know, all of the dirty tricks that you learn through the movie were deifnitely things that my friends and I developed when I was single. They always seemed to work with them but never worked for me so I didn’t know what I was doing wrong. The character, I think, is more of the guy that I dreamed about being than what I actually was.
