Fun Stuff

Trivia:
Eva Mendes was featured in Will Smith's "Miami" video. She was the girl in the car lip-syncing "Bienvenido a Miami" in the song's chorus. Mendes mentioned this to Smith during rehearsals. But Smith sheepishly admitted that he did not remember her. more
Goofs:
Continuity: When Albert and Hitch first meet, Albert spills his soda on the steps. When Hitch sees how pathetic he is and comes over the spill is bigger even though the can had been set back again and didn't continue to spill. more
Quotes:
[first lines]
Hitch: Basic Principles - no woman wakes up saying "God, I hope I don't get swept off my feet today!" Now, she might say "This is a really bad time for me," or something like "I just need some space," or my personal favorite "I'm really into my career right now." You believe that...

Surprisingly Good, 9 February 2005
Author: rossjharvey from Canada

What - a Will Smith movie with nothing blowing up? I was all prepared to hate this movie. I mean c'mon, a chick flick with Will Smith? It seems Will Smith can only play one character - himself - but in this one he tones that down and comes across as a real human being.

I was so surprised by this movie. I ended up laughing through the whole thing and came to care for and relate to all the characters.

There was NOTHING about racial stereotypes. It wasn't about a black guy teaching a white guy to dance at all. It was about a bunch of characters who legitimately grow from the first scene to the last.

Take you girlfriend and go!
