• Continuity: When Jared is greeting Bryce at the airport, the same long-haired brunette comes through the doorway behind them twice in successive shots.
  
  
• Continuity: After Jared looses his watch, there is a shot in the same dive where he still has the watch on.
  
  
• Continuity: While being chased after having the accident, Jared jumps out of the driver's side of the truck and runs to the passenger side. There's a Land Rover in the background which disappears in the next shot.
  
  

• Continuity: When Jared is pumping water out of his boat, the floor of the boat full of water. When he falls through, the floor is dry.

• Audio/visual unsynchronized: The sounds produced by the Honda 4-stroke outboards on the triple engine offshore boat are not accurate. They are clearly produced by a low-restriction exhaust on an inboard or inboard/outboard engine configuration. The real engines should sound far more quiet and timid.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Jared, Sam, Amanda, and Bryce are in the pool discussing whether or not to dig for the ship or report the plane, Jared says "One more thing, you don't repeat this to anyone"....and his lips mouth the word Capiche, but it is dubbed over as “OK”, and it's done by someone with an accent.
  
  
• Continuity: Near the end when Sam is fighting with that guy underwater, her hair is pulled back by a rubber band or elastic at the start of the fight and at the end when she is swimming back to the boat. But in the middle of the fight, when he grabs her chest, her hair is loose.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: When Jared and Bryce are fighting after they learn Sam has been kidnapped you can see Jared's mic chord under his shirt, all the way up from his waist to his neck.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: After Jared hits the car with his truck the female driver begins to run after the truck and you can see her mic pack at the small of her back.
  
  
• Continuity: When Jared and Sam are cuddling underwater during the free dive, they don't have their masks on. When they surface a moment later, they have the masks and snorkels on again.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Many times, when something or someone hits the seafloor there is an almighty crash. The seafloor here is soft sand and would not make such a noise.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Near the start of the film where we see the sporting divers. The diving instructor looks at his watch and then motions to the others that it is time to surface. That is not a diving watch. It has no visible stopwatch or even a rotating bezel. A diving instructor would never rely on such a watch for timing a dive of his own, let alone for a group he is supervising.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When they are performing the dive where the cannon is found, a shot of the navigation gear on the boat indicates a speed of ten knots. The boat is stationary at this time, as there are divers down.
  
  
• Continuity: At the end of the movie, when they are attempting to bring up the cannon, as the cannon comes out of the water, both the rope and the cannon are completely dry.
