The Sci-fi channel is not known for Emmy winning TV fare; if you want the worst in creature features or the most severely cut viewings of actual good films like The Abyss (1989) that it occasionally shows, then be prepared to hate the experience. Quality on that channel slipped years and years ago. And while there are plenty of terrible flicks there to add to the roster of worst film possibly ever made, some, like Supergator (2007) can take the cake. Rock Monster (2008) is another one eligible in the running. But when it comes to Snakehead Terror (2004), just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.
I won't even bother to go into the plot. It's as old as the ages. But the beauty of this little gem is that is trashy and bloody and nasty and violent and it doesn't shy away from it and understands it. Definitely one of the better flicks on the Sci-fi roster! And while the CGI could use some work, and while some of the deaths and hilariously outlandish, it's all nothing but good and bloody fun that is perfect for passing the time whenever a rainy day shuts you in.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
