Lee Norris Gets Mouthy for One Tree Hill

8 November 2009 7:37 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Sometimes an actor can be just so right for a part based on where they came from. Lee Norris grew up in the basketball-friendly state of North Carolina and attended the Acc powerhouse school Wake Forest, known for a rich legacy of college basketball greatness. Norris plays Marvin "Mouth" McFadden, who becomes a basketball commentator on the hit CW series One Tree Hill, which is currently airing its seventh season on Monday nights at 8 Pm Et on the CW Network. I recently had the chance to speak with Norris over the phone about his role in this long-running series, and here's what he had to say.

I was curious how you first heard about this character Mouth and what was your first reaction about this character?

Lee Norris: I was actually a student in college when I got the call to audition for Mouth. I was really interested in »

An Exclusive Interview with One Tree Hill Star Lee Norris

6 November 2009 11:31 AM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

While One Tree Hill underwent a cast shake-up prior to the premiere of season seven, one face has remained a constant on this CW hit since its premiere:

Lee Norris as Marvin "Mouth" McFadden.

TV Fanatic spoke with the talented, affable young actor today. We asked him about Mouth's future, his dream job - and whether or not he's jealous of co-star Robert Buckley's shirtless scenes...

TV Fanatic: Does it bother you that Clay (Buckley) has probably had more shirtless scenes already this season than Mouth has had in over six years?

Norris: [Laughs] It does not. In fact, I encourage the writers to keep that ratio up. If I had Rob's six-pack, I might feel differently, but I'm definitely okay with it for now.

TV Fanatic: What was it like to go through the cast shake up at the end of last season and beginning of this season?

Norris: It's been good. »

Dear 'Gossip Girl', What Happened To You?

5 November 2009 5:42 PM, PST | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

While I was debating on whether or not to write a Dear John letter to Gossip Girl and the Gossip Girl writing staff, someone beat me to it and now I have to say my piece.

Out of Touch

Let's face it. Gossip Girl is not what it was during its first season. Blair is a complete cartoon, there are way too many guest stars in the show that already has nine people in the cast and there is little to any group activity among the core cast. With the latter, I don't mean that they have to get buddy buddy ala the Saved By The Bell gang, but if everyone is off dealing with their guest star lover of the moment then how can the characters ever interact with each other?

The same thing happened with The O.C. during it's second and third seasons. In an attempt to keep Marissa and Ryan together, »

'One Tree Hill' 7.09 Clip: Brooke Talks Pregnancy

3 November 2009 6:53 PM, PST | Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news »

The CW releases a clip of "One Tree Hill" where Brooke tells Haley that she might be with a child. While handing out Haley's stage comeback outfit, Brooke comes clean with her fear that Julian may not take the baby news well. Haley thinks otherwise and suggests that Brooke get it checked to doctor.

The synopsis released by the network for the November 9 episode suggests that the news threatens Brooke and Julian's fairytale romance. Besides, the situation will be much complex than it appears. The preview released on Monday, November 2 reveals that a crying Alex is pleading Julian to come for her.

The episode called "Now You Lift Your Eyes to the Sun" also deals with Haley returning to the stage and Dan Scott returning to Tree Hill much to the chagrin of Nathan, who is about to sign a new NBA contract with the help of his agent Clay. »

'One Tree Hill' Review: Brokeback Tree Hill

3 November 2009 3:33 AM, PST | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

Now that Renee is behind us on One Tree Hill, it's time to move on to the second chapter of season 7.  But in order to do that, the show needs to transition with a little comedy.  Bring on the pot brownies and Brokeback Mountain jokes, because it's comedy time on One Tree Hill.

This episode was all about making connections.  Nathan and Julian got into touch with their inner bromance on a camping trip, Haley and Brooke bonded over paranoia and pot brownies, Clay finally connected with Quinn after spending even more time with Ghost Wife, and Dan learned that it's time to reconnect with his family. »
