RIVETING!, 20 September 2003
Author: Mark Furru (MARKZOMBIE@aol.com) from Merritt Island, FL USA

I have been a fan of Luis Guzman, due to seeing him in the majority of Paul Thomas Anderson's films (Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and Punch-Drunk Love) as well as my favorite movie of all time, Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson's ANGER MANAGEMENT. Therefore, when I found out FOX was going to have a new sitcom starring him, I had no choice but to check it out. And my God, I'm glad I did! It funny as Hell. Not a second went by, when I wasn't laughing! He and his ex are both funny, the black panhandler and the Asian chefs and the angry old Irish tenent are all funny characters, his daughter is hot, and her boyfriend seems pretty cool - he's not another stupid spiky-haired sitcom boyfriend. I hope this show lasts. I give it a ***3/4 out of ****. I only deduct 1/4 of a star, because the only flaw is that the opening sequence is too short, and we don't get much of a potentially great theme song. Other than that, check out this show!
