Most of you will probably think I'm pathetic for including DVD featurettes in my list of user comments, but the way I look at it is this: I like to have some sort of proof, or memento, once I've seen something, and a user comment is a good way to do so.
This 37-minute featurette is made up mainly of interviews with director Rob Reiner, author Stephen King, and the now grown-up cast, including Wil Wheaton, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connell, and Kiefer Sutherland. What is saddening is the absence of River Phoenix, and the others comment on what a natural talent he was.
Don't you just hate it when a person who could have gone on to great things dies tragically at a young age?
Anyway, all thoughts shared by the participants are intelligent, informative, and entertaining to hear. This featurette is a good companion piece to the film.
10/10
