Trivia:
The sisters pass by a street vendor in Chinatown selling bootleg DVDs of "Holiday In The Sun 2" (a bogus movie). This is a reference to the Olsen twins made-for-video release Holiday in the Sun (2001) (V). This bootleg DVD is also seen later on among the bootleg merchandise that Jane finds in Ma Bang's Nail Parlor. Other bootleg merchandise she finds include a "Final Recourse" DVD (another bogus movie) and a Simple Plan "Vacation" CD (a bogus CD single for the song the band performed in the film, which also appears on the soundtrack album). more
Goofs:
Continuity: When the twins leap, mosh-pit style, into the crowd, they run towards the crowd, leap and do a half-rotation in midair so that they land on their backs. In the first angle, where they run towards the camera, they rotate in the opposite direction. (At one point their backs are towards each other.) While they are in the air, there is a cut to the reverse angle where we see them leap again. This time they rotate in the same direction so that, at one point, one twin is facing the back of the other. more

Taken for what it is, a pre-teen flick featuring the wealthiest 17-years olds in type-cast roles ever, the movie is not terrible. It's no work of art, nor will it be nominated for any awards, but it is entertaining, which is all anyone can expect it to be. It definitely isn't being advertised as anything else.
More than anything, it's silly and allows a girl to giggle at the crazy antics of two sisters caught up in more than they can handle in New York City. A fun story of mayhem and mischief, it is far from the worst movie out this season (have you SEEN "Van Helsing"? I rest my case).
Maybe it's not worth spending $9 on a movie ticket, but it would be a fun rental. :-)
