Trivia:
On the first submission to the MPAA, the film received an "R"-rating. Michael Moore, stating that if kids that are 15 or 16 years old right now may be drafted to fight for the war in Iraq, they should be able to see this movie. Former New York State governor Mario Cuomo appealed to the MPAA on Moore's behalf to request a "PG-13" rating. The appeal was not successful, and the movie ended up with the current rating of R for "some violent and disturbing images, and for language".

Quotes:
[first lines]
Narrator: Was it all just a dream?
Al Gore: God bless you, Florida! Thank you!
Narrator: Did the last four years not really happen? Look, there's Ben Affleck. He's often in my dreams. And the Taxi Driver guy. He was there too. And little Stevie Wonder, he seemed so happy... like, like a miracle had taken place. Was it a dream? Or was it real?

that movies like these aren't widely enough accepted. Anyone with intelligence or wisdom can see that this movie provides definite proof that the only thing our leaders are after is money and oil. It's proof! Moore has donated 2/3 of all his proceeds to charity, just to offer further proof of that his intent is to help, not hinder. This movie will shake the walls of Washington, to finally put leaders in there who are sensitive and kind to people of other nations. We now know that this premise of terrorism and hate of other countries toward us is not to the American people, but to our leaders. I'm hopeful they will appreciate the honesty and integrity this movie provides and show it in their classrooms.
Thank you Mikey!
