Not worth it

I saw Rose Red about a year ago, so most of the details are hazy, but for the most part I have remembered the important things. This movie, in my own opinion, was a waste of time.

We get to meet Ellen Rimbauer and her husband, see the building of Rose Red, and its mysterious disappearances. Thats all fine, but the movie never really explains why the house does what it does--it just seems to say that the house has a fascination with Ellen. As for her husband, it was one scene after another about how he was sex hungry all the time and had affairs.

I thought it would have been much better done if we could find out more reasons for the house and disappearances. I wouldn't watch it again.
