This place seems to look young no more, although once she seemed to be the one never grow old. Something is bygone, and perhaps nowhere we can find it again other than in movie. Story happens in 1970s. Life looks so simple, but never simple is emotion. It is the deep description to emotion that makes this movie so special. Some past values of people here is revealed quite well, although the arrangement seems not systematic enough. The beautiful cinematography saves the boring beginning. The style reminds me of Malena (2000), but please don't view it as a copy-cat. Some actors' performance is no doubt praise-worthy, and the glamorous smile of Qi Shu makes the ending much more impressive. Those days are bygone. The light is out now, and we are already forgotten. But turn it into positive please. That's life.
