Two not very intelligent, not very clever friends who used to work together at a newspaper have been fired. Now they are trying to find a way to survive while making everyone else's life a constant misunderstood chaos.

Trivia:

Almost all the set decoration in the second season is stuff from the crew's houses. If you check it carefully you can see pictures of them or their names on the framed diplomas, class pictures, etc.

Nice try...

The day I saw the "sitcom" on local TV, I was totally dissapointed, their firsts episodes lacked of chemistry or freshnesh. I just turned off the TV set and went to sleep. Six month later in the paper there was an article about the series changing from one station to another, with a better schedule and lots of production. Now is almost two years from the very first airing and even certain things have changed, there´s still way to go. This series is kind of a mix between "The naked truth", "Newsradio" and "Just shoot me" (at least thats is the aim of the producers and writers)and a little glimpse of "Friends" (they even carbon-copied a inside joke from Friends, using a white board). But even the three leading actor have nice theater skills, they seem to be overreacted every single time, like watching a play that was planned to be enjoyed from the last row in the theater, but at 3 feet far. The rest of the cast goes from just fine, to regular. The result feels like "Veronica´s Closet" or "Caroline in the City".

The material side of the series, is however just great, good lighting, editing, sound and set decoration (they would better go for the standard sitcom format, but they user a regular T.V. drama framing/editing method.) So, in the end, "Rumores" is a very nice try to do a sitcom in "all-american-style" but it just doesn´t do the final chemistry, there´s so much to do.
