The story begins with the narration of Lemony Snicket (Jude Law) telling the story of how the three Baudelaire children became orphans after a fire destroys their home with their parents trapped inside. The orphans, Violet (Emily Browning) 14, Klaus (Liam Aiken) 12, and the baby, Sunny (Kara & Shelby Hoffman) are sent to live with a distant relative, Count Olaf (Jim Carrey), a demented actor who only wanting the children to steal their large inheritance. Count Olaf is not a nice person. He makes the children clean the house, cook his dinner, and do anything he wants them to do. To get all their money, Count Olaf plots to kill the children, but instead, the children are taken away from him and are given to a series of odd guardians. Count Olaf worms his way into the lives of these guardians and soon they end up dead. Douglas Young (the-movie-guy)
