There are not too many decent mob movies out there, which are not trying to copy Godfather in almost every aspect.
This low-budget film pleasantly surprises by being understated and realistic. After watching the movie and feeling satisfied, I was astonished to learn that the director and lead actor, Danny Provenzano, was the great nephew of a mobster, and in fact, Danny is now serving a prison sentence for mob charges himself! So all those posters who say this movie looks "fake" better check themselves, because everything that happens in this movie seems realistic, and now we know why!
Also, it was great how young, high-tech mobsters come up with a way to steal money electronically, but have to sell the idea to their older, streetwise seniors, who don't know what e-mail is. The slick clothing, cars, and the frightening "Johnny Irish" and great musical score make this mob movie hip, realistic, and thrilling. 8/10, for those who like mob movies, without all the hype!
