  • Revealing mistakes: In the scene in the deli when Paige is teaching Eddie how to use the meat slicer, smudges on the slicing blade reveal that the blade is not actually moving even after Eddie supposedly turned it on.

  • Continuity: When Paige is getting the two beers for "Eddie" in one of the early bar scenes, the foam on the first beer appears and disappears between the shots. The levels of the beer itself also increase and decrease.

  • Continuity: When Paige is talking with Eddie after the first chemistry lab, her bra straps jump around between shots.

  • Continuity: When the professor is writing the breakdown of the final grades on the blackboard, he writes the number 10. In the next shot it disappears and he writes it again.

  • Continuity: During the parade, the Queen is seated on the right-hand side of the coach. When Eddie and Paige ride by, she's on the left-hand side of the coach.

  • Continuity: When Eddie gets splashed with grease from the fryer, his left arm is covered with grease. The grease on his arm then disappears and reappears between shots.

  • Continuity: When Keith Kopinsky punches Eddie after the lawnmower race, Eddie falls with the plastic beer cup in his hand. When he gets up, the cup is gone.

  • Continuity: Edward presents Paige with the ring, but no one puts it on her. In the next shot, when she is hugging him, you can see the ring already on her finger.

  • Factual errors: When Soren shows Paige around in the royal garden he talks about when King Gustav IV fell and.... That king is actually Swedish and was the king of Sweden between 1792-1809. The Danish king in 1502 was King Hans.

  • Continuity: On her way to the wedding in the beginning of the film, part of Paige's dress is stuck in the door of the car. This trapped part disappears and reappears between shots.

  • Continuity: When Eddie is asking Paige to a party (just before he gets rejected), the vertical bar in the railing Paige is standing behind moves from shot to shot of Paige, and is completely missing from the shots of Eddie.

  • Continuity: When Eddie is hosing off the mat outside, the hose keeps moving from being under the mat to around it between shots.

  • Continuity: When Eddie is quoting Shakespeare to Paige, Soren is standing next to him when they show Eddie. As they show Paige's reaction, Soren is standing behind her, and then back next to Eddie again.

  • Continuity: When Paige gets off of the horse after she reaches Denmark she has a bag on her shoulder. In the next shot, when Soren is showing her around, the bag disappears.

  • Continuity: During the race in the beginning of the movie, the policeman holding back the crowd earlier in the race is the same policeman who is at the finish line with the checkered flag. Unless there was a shorter route between the two places, he could not have jumped on his motorcycle and gotten there before the racers.

  • Factual errors: The English professor's door is labeled, "Prof. M. Begler Phd.". The correct annotation is Ph.D.

  • Continuity: At the beginning of the film, at the wedding, when Paige is at the table talking to her friend, her wrap changes position.

  • Factual errors: Paige Morgan invites Eddie to her home for Thanksgiving. In Wisconsin during the month of November, there are no green deciduous leaves on any tree.

  • Errors in geography: The cars in Copenhagen in the beginning of the film don't have Danish license plates - they look like Czech.

  • Continuity: In the library after Thanksgiving, Eddie is reading a magazine. Eddie's hands change position on the magazine, and in one shot, he is holding a rolled magazine. The magazine is open in the next shot.

  • Miscellaneous: For some reason, there is a portrait of George Washington on the wall in the Danish palace. It is visible in the scene when Paige breaks up with Edward during his coronation.

  • Continuity: When Paige is in Denmark, trying to get to the front of the parade, it shows her behind the two women, then in front, then in back, then in front, then trying to get to the front, then in back, and finally in front again.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Eddie goes to open parliament, the audio does not match his hammering.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Soren used the term "irregardless" (instead of the proper word "regardless") while having a conversation in the dorm with Paige and Eddie. Someone of such high education would have known better.

  • Continuity: When Prince Edvard takes Paige on his horse in Denmark, it switches between a Dark bay horse with a messy blaze on its face, to a Chestnut horse with a neat blaze, and back again.

  • Factual errors: The Royal palace in the movie is the castle of Kronborg. The real royal palace in Denmark is the castle of Amalienborg.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): During a press conference with the prime minister of Denmark, the Prime Minister says "The United States of Europe" about the European Union.

  • Continuity: When the prince arrives in his dorm room and later the roommate arrives, the roommate enters carrying arms full of snacks. The snacks included a box of Cheezits. The roommate later states his allergies, which begins with dairy.

  • Revealing mistakes: The sign at the roof of the taxi, Paige leaves at the parade, says "TAXA". All Danish taxicabs has the word "TAXI" on the roof light.
