• Revealing mistakes: When Carlos bends over to pick up the trash bag, his shadow doesn't follow his movements.
  
  
• Continuity: Juan's shirt is covered in blood before he breaks the hot tub window. Once the water runs over everyone, his shirt is clean. Later, his shirt is covered in blood again.
  
  
• Continuity: When Lars startles Jenny from behind she lets a mouthful of her red drink spill out, but when she turns around there are no stains on her clothes and her face is perfectly clean.
  
  

• Revealing mistakes: After Coconut Pete's body is found, one of the brief close-ups of his face shows this supposedly dead man's lips moving.
  
  
• Continuity: When Juan takes his first swing with the axe to break the hot tub, the blade is towards the glass in one shot and in the next shot, the axe is reversed.
  
  
• Continuity: While being chased by the towards the end of the movie, the camera pans up to reveal a dirt cliff as the dead end. But as each character jumps, it shows them jumping off a white rock cliff into the ocean.
  
  
• Continuity: Before Juan and Penolope start kissing, she gives him a hat, and it falls to the floor. When he remembers he has to make s'mores, Penolope doesn't pick the hat up, but after he runs away, she drops it to the ground.
  
  
• Continuity: The blood on Juan's shirt changes from scene to scene towards the end of the movie, especially when he meets the rest of the group while he's holding the machete, covered in blood.
  
  
• Continuity: Towards the end of the movie, when they come out of the club house just after Juan breaks the hot tub, the watermelon is behind the pretzel, then in the next shot the pretzel is behind the watermelon, then in the next shot the watermelon is behind the pretzel again.
  
  

• Continuity: SPOILER: At the end on the speedboat, Lars dives underneath to put on the working propeller. He then surfaces and hits the killer on the head with a propeller, which then falls under the dashboard area. Earlier on, when Lars found the boat, he brought the broken propeller to shore!
