A young nurse trainee suspects that a doctor at her hospital is sexually molesting recuperating female surgery patients. From the beginning the suspicion is confirmed in the minds of the viewers who see the doctor in one of the film's opening scenes hiding in one of the patient's rooms. The hospital atmosphere is sufficiently bleak as the story unfolds during evening hours in long and mostly empty hallways and darkened rooms. The director ties in elements of their private lives, and a evolving relationship between them. There isn't a lot of action, but when it comes it's effectively used. What's very well done is the overall development of the coverups and consequences that occur when one surgeon on a hospital staff is someone with a strange enough background that creates a personality that can both get through medical school and find a good position while also fooling all of his colleagues while hiding such a dark persona. The Bambi angle is also interesting to think about.
