This being only the second Tele movie made by Channel Ten that I have seen, I was really impressed, all aspects of the movie were well done.
The story revolves around a cop who dobs in his police buddy for corruption. In turn, the rest of the force turn against him and his new job is to supervise the transfer of old cases onto computer. As he does this, he comes along an old case which he sets out to solve.
Yes it has a cliched plot, but the script is still a very good one, both intelligent, gritty and funny. The film is full of beautiful photography, another credit to the team. The first half hour isn't much but the film's climax is great. Shaun Micallef and Gary McCaffrie wrote the script, which is very odd considering their past employment.
Channel Ten apparently liked BlackJack so much they have already considered making it into a series ala Halifax FP. I hope they do. 9/10
