Overall I thought this was kind of disappointing but it was a great attempt. It did have its few good moments, a handful of funny lines and the outrageously funny subplot of the porn addicted son. Lindsay Felton was A+ except, well, I'm a guy so I don't watch gymnastics, that wouldn't be right, but I know gymnasts don't have 36C (or around that) sized breasts. Other than that fact she was perfect in this movie. Unfortunately, a whole lot of the events around her were rather boring. There was too much going on to get in depth, to get some real emotions here. What we got instead was a loose fitting puzzle. And that ditzy blonde friend... what was up with her? I think they were trying to convey that friends of Anna were awkward around Anna returning to school in a wheelchair. They could have done a much better job with that. Blonde friend Sheila redeemed herself when she said Anna's her hero but the other times Sheila was on screen previous to that I wanted to shove a pencil up my nose, into my brain, causing me to cease to exist. It would have been less painful than a few of the scenes in this. Pax did a fine job compared to a lot of the other family-type movies they make but they've still got a ways to go before they're making Hallmark Hall of Fame kind of real feel good movies. It's not easy with only 90 minutes, especially when you have 6 or 7 characters each with a story. If they just focused on Anna and her sister and ditched the two youngest siblings there could've been more volume to this, more feeling, a more touching story. Oh well. Like I said, it was still a good attempt and I'd even consider watching it again someday because Ms. Felton did an outstanding job. My grade for this: C
