R+B superstar Usher wants to play the leading role in a biopic of legendary singer Marvin Gaye.

The Love in This Club hitmaker has already played Gaye once before during a guest-appearance on U.S. television show American Dreams.

And now he is desperate to portray Gaye in a movie version of his life story.

He says, "I want to be the person who tells the story of Marvin Gaye because I understand the conflict he had as a man."

Unfortunately for the singer, a film about Marvin Gaye's life is already in production - with former Law + Order star Jesse L. Martin in the lead role.

New mum Nicole Richie will relive her days as a Hollywood 'bad girl' after landing a small role in U.S. TV comedy Chuck.

The 26-year-old will play "a snarky and spiteful girl" in an upcoming episode.

Chuck executive producer Josh Schwartz states, "Nicole auditioned for the part and was very funny. This role is a great opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills and be diabolically evil and kick some butt. It's going to be really fun."

Richie's past TV credits include guest spots on U.S. TV series 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter and American Dreams. She also starred in reality TV hit The Simple Life, alongside fellow socialite and childhood friend Paris Hilton.

Eyes Wide Shut star Leelee Sobieski has a recurring dream in which she's a Native American woman.

The blonde-haired, blue-eyed New Yorker insists the dream is so vivid she's often startled when she wakes up and realises she's not hunting in a canoe.

She says, "When I close my eyes and imagine what I look like, I'm completely different.

"I imagine myself as a Native American in a canoe with a papoose around my neck and sitting alongside my warrior husband, my long black hair gliding through the water, my bow and arrow poised to shoot us some dinner.

"(Then) I see my light hair and light eyes and it freaks me out, like, 'Where's my inner Native American? Who took my canoe?'"
