Trivia:
When released on the computer, the game's performance was so lacking that many reviews joked that the ideal system for playing Morrowind was "a computer two years from now". As of 2004 - roughly two years after the game was released - many of the newest systems still have difficulty playing the game at an acceptable speed. more
Goofs:
Continuity: The inscription on the shrine near the Koal Cave says that Vivec taught the Dunmer to create armor from dreugh wax, but if you take one look at a dreugh and dreugh armor, you can easily see that the armor is made from its carapace without being changed save for the dreugh having been hollowed out.. more

This game disappointed me very dearly. I thought the concept was cool and the thought of a giant world that takes time to traverse and explore would be very interesting. It is not. Not in this game anyway, the company actually did great with the game "Fallout 3", but this one to me was to boring in some areas, to hard in areas and just plain stupid in other areas. The combat was very dull and hard to really get good at unless killing many little creatures is your idea of fun. Thus, combat in a game where combat is essential is dull so that brings the game down on many levels for me right there. Then there is the fact you can not be a really super bad person and get any joy out of it. You steal something in a village, proceed to escape from that village and head across the continent and enter a totally unrelated town and they are after you. You would think the inhabitants of this island carried cell phones on them. I killed this gal on the side of the road, one that was supposed to marry someone or something and she is not missed at all. You steal you get caught and you murder and the person you kill is not missed at all. The game is also very wordy, as the dialog boxes at times resemble novels. It makes me pine for the game to be spoken aloud like the much superior "Fallout 3". You must join a guild and the guild tasks are very dull too. This game is just not set up well, with "Fallout 3" you had very fun side quests and I just did not see any real fun ones in this one. I would not condemn this game based on my review, however, as from the score here most thought this game enjoyable. It just did not work for me, I need more story and substance and less randomness and if it is going to be random let me be a really nasty villain. The one thing I did enjoy about the game was the set up right at the beginning when you chose your character and built up his or her stats.
