Chris O’Donnell cast in ‘Cats & Dogs’ sequel

1 October 2008 7:12 AM, PDT | From screeninglog.com | See recent screeninglog news

I can’t say I’m excited about a “Cats & Dogs” sequel, but the film is happening and it’s already in production. Nope, there’s nothing we can do about it.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the live-action parts of "Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore” are shooting in Vancouver, with Chris O’Donnell and Jack McBrayer cast in the lead roles.

Directed by Brad Peyton, the film obviously follows a bunch of cats and dogs fighting for world domination. Ron Friedman and Steve Bencich wrote the script.

O’Donnell is known for his roles in “Batman & Robin,” “The Bachelor” and the recent “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl.” He will next be seen with Mark Wahlberg in John Moore’s “Max Payne.”

McBrayer recently appeared in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.” He’s best known for playing Kenneth Parcell on television’s “30 Rock.”

List: Counting Down Ten Sadly Underseen Films

31 July 2008 6:56 AM, PDT | From ifc.com | See recent IFC news

By Aaron Hillis

Lists are breezy reads, but there can be an unfortunate disposability to the data because arbitrarily numbered "Ten Best" somethings or "Five Things You Should Know About" whatevers literally demonstrate quantity's domination over quality. And now that I've sucked all the fun out of the room, here's a practical but otherwise unranked list of ten auteurist gems . nine of which are already on DVD . that deserve their layers of dust blown off. (Sorry, "Zero Effect" and "11 Harrowhouse," but the list dictates the rules!)

"One From the Heart" (1982)

Directed by Francis Ford Coppola

The fires of over-ambition still smoldering in his belly after "Apocalypse Now," Francis Ford Coppola's follow-up was a decadent fiasco that bankrupted him, and might have seemed at the time as if the director had returned half-mad from the Filipino jungles. Epically staged on the Zoetrope studio lot, Coppola's hypertheatrical Vegas romance-cum-musical fantasy stars

But photographers were nowhere to be found last Tuesday when she hooked up with Las Vegas media magnate Justin Weneger at Blush in the Wynn. "Matt has no idea,

Flavor of Love: Thing 2 Speaks About Being in the Competition with Her Sister

30 May 2008 3:00 AM, PDT | From buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news

Flava Flav just upstaged Brad Womack's twist to The Bachelor with his decision to propose to the woman who gave birth to his children.  Despite this, Flava Flav chose Thing 2 in the finale of the season, making her believe that they indeed had a happy ending.  But bitterness aside, Thing 2 now has a life and career after Flavor of Love, and has been working on other projects.  She recently spoke with VH1 to talk about her experiences on the show, and how her sister's presence in the competition really helped her through it.  In fact, Thing 2 says that it was hard seeing her sister go after Thing 1's elimination.

"It was tough.  You’re coming in with someone you know, you love and you trust.  And then to have that taken away in such a stressful environment, it was hard," Thing 2 told VH1.  "But we knew it was going to come to that.

The Bachelor: Matt Grant Stands by Shayne Lamas "110 Percent"

30 May 2008 1:00 AM, PDT | From buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news

The happy ending that was The Bachelor’s season 12 saw Matt Grant picking celebrity daughter Shayne Lamas over pharmaceutical sales representative, Chelsea Wanstrath.  Matt gave Shayne the last rose and an engagement ring, and since then, they’ve been living happily ever after—until now, that is.  Recently, Shayne posed for some rather revealing photos for the Girls Gone Wild magazine.  Shayne says that the magazine is all about “fun and freedom,” and “a way for a girl to express confidence in herself.”

Apparently Matt Grant approves of this photo shoot, as he previously stated the obvious—“Shayne has a genuine ‘girl next door’ quality, but she also happens to be very hot.”

Apparently, Matt is supportive of the photo shoot, and sees this as a non-issue.

"As we English say, I really feel it was 'a storm in a teacup,'" Matt told People magazine.  "I believe it was blown out of all proportion.

'Flavor of Love' Ends with a Twist

28 May 2008 3:00 AM, PDT | From buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news

Lately, it seems that reality shows have been bringing us more twists and turns than scripted TV, and fans all over the world have been quick to let their thoughts be known.  Last year, we saw how the fans unleashed their insights on the twisted ending of the 11th season of The Bachelor, in which Brad Womack refused to decide between Jenni Croft and DeAnna Pappas. DeAnna didn’t walk away with nothing, though, as she soon landed her own show, The Bachelorette.

Another reality dating series that has surprised us more recently is Flavor of Love, which concluded its third season a few days ago.  Coming close to the finish line to win Flava Flav’s heart was Thing 2 and Black, who eventually headed home after the finale.

"I got my man. We ain’t coming back for a season four. It’s a wrap," Thing 2 said in the season finale.

The 12th season of The Bachelor recently concluded with a Matt Grant choosing celebrity daughter Shayne Lamas over Pharmaceutical sales representative Chelsea Wanstrath from Durango, Colorado.  The season finale featured a bitter end for Chelsea, who expected to win the dating game.  Before walking away from the show, she had a word with Shayne, telling her that she was the “fakest person” Chelsea ever met.  Recently, Chelsea spoke with Reality TV World to discuss what went on her mind as the final rose was given to Shayne, and not to her.

Despite being “completely confident,” Chelsea said, “I definitely thought I was about to get proposed to.  There was almost no doubt in my mind that I was going to end up with him.”  Things took a turn for the worst, though, when Matt decided to let her go.
