Parents Guide for
The Human Stain (2003)

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

One female character performs an extended strip-tease dance, and is ultimately shown fully nude, though at some distance. Another female character is shown partially nude, though only from the side and the back without really showing anything. Sex between the two main characters is implied but not explicitly depicted.

Violence & Gore

None; acts of spousal abuse are described verbally but never shown.

Profanity

Extensive and repeated use of the F-word. A few references to the male member, and to various sexual situations.

Two of the characters are shown smoking often; no drugs or alcohol appear.

In one scene (shown twice), a car intentionally swerves into another and forces it off the road and into a lake; but the effect is not overly intense.
