Who would have thought that the story of John the Baptist could be told in such a disarming and charming manner. This very simple film was nominated for Best Animated Short Film for the 2002 Oscars and I can see why. It's a rather cute single concept about a film crew filming a little kid talking about what occurred with John the Baptist. The story is told in a voice that definitely sounds like a kid but probably can't be because the child talked very quickly and practically never breathed during the entire retelling! And to go with the story and it's many quirky details is some splendidly different and creative animation.Christians and non-Christians should probably find this film fun and non-offensive. It is certainly different but well worth a quick peek.
