A so-so crime thriller -- actually a Western in drag -- that pits ex-cop Ving Rhames against revenge-minded Gary Oldman. Clunky, badly edited, shot full of plot holes, and directed by a novice director with exactly one other film under his belt. Oldman reprises his role from THE PROFESSIONAL, but fails to convince. Rhames sleepwalks through his role, reminding one of other "great" nonactors like Jim Brown and Isaac Hayes, Brian Cox as Rhames' former boss is wasted, and obviously was just in this for the paycheck. Skip it -- except for the last 10 minutes, which may remind older viewers of all those B-flick undercard programmers from the late 1940s and 1950s.
