  • In the UK version the voices of the Ugly Stepsister and Joan Rivers are not done by Larry King and Joan Rivers but two British TV presenters, Jonathan Ross and Kate Thornton.

  • In the UK version of Shrek the line "Let's give him the 'Bob Barker' treatment." is replaced with "Let's just neuter him on the spot."

  • The UK version was changed by the distributor during post-production to secure a U rating in the UK. A headbutt by Princess Fiona is replaced by a neck chop. The version submitted to the BBFC was passed uncut.

  • In the Austrian version of Fairy Godmother is spoken by Dagmar Koller. Also there are slight text differences to the German Version.

  • In some versions, the words 'crusade wound' are replaced with 'hunting wound'.
