- Continuity: The hole in Lai's duct-taped mouth disappears and reappears between shots.
- Continuity: In the first car chase, as Frank is driving on the pavement, he drives by a restaurant with the blue copper chasing along side crashes through the table and chairs - there is a man who jumps out of the way to the middle posts, facing away from the camera - in the 'cool repeated action' shot he is facing the camera.
- Continuity: At the start of the 'oil' scene in the bus depot, one of the first people to attack Frank already has oil on his top before anyone lands in any oil (this is presumably from an earlier take).
- Continuity: Towards the end of the opening car chase sequence, the Transporter's BMW wing mirror disappears and then re-appears between shots.
- Continuity: During the scenes where Frank is using the stethoscope in order to listen "into" the containers, the stethoscope suddenly disappears when he walks round a container towards another one. He didn't have time to take it off.
- Continuity: Near the end, Lai's father and his driver suddenly reappear, although they didn't have a way to get there that quickly. The driver had lost his consciousness yet he reappeared a few moments later.
- Continuity: When Frank and Lai escape the burning house via the exit in basement they jump into water. Frank comes up with diving equipment but Lai never puts on any fins. However in the next few shots where she's diving and getting out of the water, she has fins on.
- Continuity: The BMW's seats change in various scenes from standard to luxury seats (different headrests).
- Continuity: When Lai and Frank confront Wall Street in his office, the gun is cocked at least three different times without ever being un-cocked or fired.
- Continuity: When Frank drives through the gates of the house to get away, the Mercedes' grill and indicator are still in place. The next shot and they are hanging off.
- Continuity: The BMW jumping off the bridge has tinted side windows.
- Continuity: When Lai's father enters the room (just before he slaps her) the guard at the door can be seen setting a beer bottle down. But before the father enters the room he has no beer bottle in his hand.
- Revealing mistakes: After the oil fight, when Frank falls through the window and into the water, the shot from the water of him landing has a stuntman with a full head of hair, even though Frank is almost completely bald
- Factual errors: Frank has oil all over him, then he jumps into the water and the oil has been washed away.
- Continuity: When Lai falls down the hill after she is let out of the trunk, she is wearing flats. Yet later after Frank finds her in the back of the Mercedes and puts her on the street, she is wearing heels.
- Continuity: Towards the end of the movie, during the car/truck chase, one of the Mercedes crashes and skids all over the motorway. The Mercedes has gleaming alloy wheels, but when it is in flames, it has steel rims, not alloys.
- Continuity: During the truck chase, the convoy runs the same section of the highway over and over again.
- Revealing mistakes: During the truck fight, "Wall Street" is clearly replaced by an older stuntman when he is kicked and swings out on the passenger door of the truck. The harness/apparatus the stuntman uses in this shot can also be seen.
- Continuity: Before Frank's car jumps off the bridge in the opening chase, there are three cars in front of each other on the truck, but once the truck passes under the bridge the cars have changed position.
- Continuity: When Frank arrives back at Wall Street's house to get revenge, the sky outside is cloudy. Five minutes later, however, when he leaves, it is a clear, sunny sky.
- Revealing mistakes: Frank is told to deliver the package (with Lai) to "Rue de Luxembourg", however when he exits the gates of the house, the street signs says "Avenue de Saissy", the real name of the street in Cannes, France.
- Continuity: When Lai is sitting at the table with a drink in her hands and her father slaps her, the cup and its contents fall to the right. In the next shot of the table, the cups on the right and the spillage is on the left. In the final shot the spillage is on the right again, yet the cup has moved closer to Lia's hands without being handled. Also, she begins spilling the cup before he hits her, even though she doesn't really move till he hits her.
- Continuity: Length of Tarconi's cigarette when talking to Frank and Lai in his office after the house is destroyed.
- Continuity: During the first chase scene with the cop in the blue Peugeot, after smashing though the plastic furniture on the sidewalk, the cops license plate has partially fallen off. In the next shot were the cop almost hits the motorized pole the license plate it back to the regular position.
- Continuity: When Kwai appears at the door of the semi truck and points his pistol at Frank, there is the sound of the gun cocking. However, in the following shot, the gun is not cocked.
- Continuity: When the car comes out of the alleyway with the steps, it is in reverse, even though there was no room to turn around. Also, when Frank says, "See what I mean about the shocks?" you can clearly see the car is going forward (you see a window pass on the wall).
- Crew or equipment visible: When Frank and Wall Street are fighting in the truck cab, especially when Wall Street is about to kick Frank through the windshield of the truck, a driver's hands can be seen on the wheel in shots from outside.
- Crew or equipment visible: The camera reflection can be seen in the rear bumper of the Mercedes when Frank is driving in reverse (after changing his mind about leaving Lai in the street).
- Crew or equipment visible: When Frank crashes through the windshield of the truck, the green screen used for the shot reflects in the glass.
- Continuity: On the last scene of the first chase, on the pier, Frank crosses the railroad just after the train passes by, leaving all the policemen on the other side of the railroad. Just a second later a policeman gets to cross the railroad and the warehouse on foot to try to shoot the BMW, and the train is already still.
- Factual errors: In the container yard scene, Jason has his stethoscope on back to front - the earpieces should be pointing forwards, not backwards. You can't hear anything the way he's wearing it.
- Plot holes: When Frank is driving the truck, he uses a shard of mirror to see behind him. However, the light reflected onto his face means that the mirror was pointing the sun, not to what he was "looking at".
- Factual errors: When vehicles are transported on a carrier, they are chained to the trailer. It is illegal to haul an unsecured load. Simply lowering the ramp would not cause the car to roll off the trailer.
- Factual errors: When Frank falls backwards through the trucks glass, it crumbles into thousands of individual small pieces. While windshield automotive glass is tempered safety glass and designed to break into small, rounded pieces, they should stay together. Windshield safety glass has a plastic sheet in between two layers of tempered glass, so that while breaking, they do not shatter as a complete sheet.
- Revealing mistakes: During the fight scene in the hallway at the villa, it is very apparent that the two axes used in the scene are made out of rubber, as they bend and regain their shape when they strike the hallway wall.
- Revealing mistakes: As Frank is seen in the bus station repair shop immediately after getting out of the water, his clothes are dry and he is does not trail any water as he walks.
- Continuity: When Frank goes back for revenge for blowing up his BMW, he crashes through the wooden gate and the Mercedes he's driving the grill get broken, but not in the first shot after he breaks through. In that shot the grill is fine, but not in any of the following shots.
- Factual errors: During the airplane / truck chase, the plane is very low in one shot and the next they are high enough for Frank to sky dive. There is no way that Cessna could climb that fast.
- Continuity: In the scene where Frank brings a rifle into the shipyard, the stock on the gun is seen folded. He fires some rounds at a couple men with it folded. A few shots later, the stock is unfolded and Frank is using it like he's supposed to.
- Continuity: In the robbery at the start the robbers put two bags in the car and two bags are take by the police, yet when they switch cars the men are only seen taking one bag.
- Continuity: After the oil fight Frank swims away from the gunmen and then returns to the garage. His trousers are completely dry and no oil stains on them whatsoever.
- Continuity: When the inspector is talking to Frank in the cell, his weapon is clearly holding back his jacket but in another shot, without him moving, his jacket is completely free.
- Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Many goofs here complains about wrong continuity. In fact, the editing style of the movie often uses technique known as "time squeeze" for faster unwinding of the action. In these scenes they are cutting out minor details (such as paying for drink, putting fins on, taking off stethoscope, unfolding stock of the rifle, arriving of Lai's father's car in the final sequence and so on).
- Factual errors: When Frank raids Wall Street's villa for revenge, he dives behind a detached door on the ground for shelter against the fire from the bad guys. In real life those bullets would easily penetrate that wooden door and the door would be useless for protection against firearms.
- Factual errors: Frank describes the BMW as a "1999 BMW 735", but it's a V12 engine so it is in fact a BMW 750.
- Factual errors: Shu Qi (Lai) is actually speaking her real own native language of Mandarin (whenever not English). The Fox DVD subtitles incorrectly refer to her as "Speaking in Japanese" (marred further when her character "comes from Japan").
- Continuity: After Frank's car blows up and he goes for revenge at the end of the fight, he picks up a machine gun and shoots the ceiling. In the next shot he walks into the garage with a small handgun.
- Revealing mistakes: When Frank puts the pedals on his feet during the oil fight, they only have a strap across the top but in the close up of his right foot, you can see a strap going around the heel to keep them on his feet.
- Revealing mistakes: At the start of the fight on the bus, the men grab metal pipes that are "conveniently" placed under the seats and are cut to an exact length.
- Factual errors: When Frank jumps on the top of the container being carried by the forklift, you can see the whole thing wobble. An empty 20 foot cargo container weighs 4850lbs and the forklift is at least 3 times that. A 200lb man would not be able to cause that much movement by landing on it.
- Factual errors: When Frank uses the stethoscope to listen to the shipping containers, he has the earpieces backwards. The tubes should be going forward (into the ear canal), instead of into the back of his ears.
- Factual errors: When Frank's house is being attacked, despite the gunmen firing high-powered assault rifles on full-auto and while standing, there does not seem to be any significant recoil as all the bullets strike Franks's house at roughly the same height. Given the distance and style of fire, this is simply not feasible, no matter how skilled the marksman.
- Errors in geography: It doesn't take from the middle of the night to full sunup to drive from Marseilles to Lyon.
- Revealing mistakes: During the oil-slick fight scene in the warehouse, several close-up shots of Frank show the oil on him as becoming dry and crusty, something which oil does not do but the obviously water-based make-up used does.
- Revealing mistakes: When the car jumps from the bridge onto the truck in the opening chase, as it flies through the air you can see that the tyres are missing on the left-hand-side wheels.
- Factual errors: There is absolutely no way to hot-wire a current S class Mercedes by yanking out a fistful of cables from under the dash and sticking some of them together.
- Continuity: When the BMW gets a flat tire, it is replaced with a non standard alloy. In the next scene, the original alloy is back on the car.
- Crew or equipment visible: During the highway action sequence, when Frank kicks the driver out of the truck and the door flies off of the road, you can obviously see it is a dummy.
- Continuity: When Frank drags the girl out of the back seat of the Mercedes she has the slit in the tape on her mouth. After sets the girl in the road and leaves, the tape has no hole in it.
- Revealing mistakes: When the lead character steals the Mercedes from his second client, following a shoot-out, he can be seen to turn-off the car stereo in order to stop the background music. However, the stereo is clearly already off.
- Revealing mistakes: After Frank drops off Lai and stops for a snack, his BMW is blown up. During the explosion, Frank is blown backward and upward but nothing else is. Above his head is a black flag which continues to flutter gently in the breeze. And the lightweight tables and chairs which are very close to the car do not move at all. In addition, the explosion comes from underneath the car and the car jumps up in to the air. But the bomb was in the briefcase inside the car so the car should have stayed in place and, if anything, the roof or windows should have blown up and out, not the entire car. Also, Frank should have been blown backward only, not upward as well.
- Continuity: The boat at the quay is "Cassis". The boat on the sea is "Manan".
- Plot holes: Lai is tied to a chair (hands and feet). She is able to get to the car by tiptoeing. How does she then open the door, drag herself and the chair into the car and close the door behind her? Not to mention the fact that someone as careful as Frank steals the car without noticing a woman tied to an office chair in the back seat.
>>> WARNING: Here Be Spoilers <<<
Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.
- Factual errors: SPOILER: When Lai's father is shot a close up on the wound shows the 'blood' forming in a jelly-type way. In real life the shirt would soak up the blood creating a large stain.
