Although she surely met a definite fate at the end of the film, adamantium being injected into her body in a mass amount, is it safe to say that this character is dead. However, Kelly Hu signed on to X-Men 3 when Bryan Singer was attached to the project as writer and director. As soon as Fox Studios replaced Singer for Brett Ratner and Zak Penn, Kelly Hu was no longer signed on for the project. It is currently unknown whether Lady Deathstrike would make an appearance after the events of X2: United, or before as a flashback to reveal the immense back story her and Wolverine share.
In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Stryker works with both Logan and Victor Creed/Sabretooth. So in this film when Stryker says "I always thought you were one of a kind. I was wrong." (referring to Lady Deathstrike) He was referring to the fact that Sabretooth would never survive the process of getting the adamantium. Whereas Logan and Yuriko could.
