Of Course I'll Look at You, It's The Least I Can Do !, 23 November 2008

Definitely, I don't love Geri Halliwell.. I'm CRAZY about her. At 1999 she was in her best shape, best sexual appeal, best days as a singer, yet. She's a sex bomb, so vigorous on the screen, and she can eat your heart out by a smile or a look. While her being with the spice girls I was annoyed, why I had to watch, and stand, 4 other girls beside her ?! Simply she was the one to capture my full attention, the one who got the hottest everything, and the one who I just adore her soft, strangely sexy, voice. So imagine my feelings when I knew about the matter of her going away The Spice Girls which was nothing for me but one super Spicy Girl ! Her music is good, lustful, and I preferred it more than anything by for instance Madonna, because nobody got a tone as anesthetically feminine as hers. It's one of a kind persona for a voice, I can tell you that. Though, I discovered I mustn't listen to her out of singing or performances (in interviews or else) because it ruins some of the magic.

I remember when her first album as solo (Schizophonic) came out, it was totally great. Back then, in (Look at Me)'s clip, I thought (Geri) was making some statement after her separation from the spice girls, as Look at Me and Me only ! Also to assure that she can be not one but four women (so not to miss the rest of the group because she can be a whole band for you baby !). She was exploding with sultry charisma, so how about dancing too. Although that wasn't a "dancing" but whenever I see her cavorting and jiggling in lovely dashing way my heart just dances joyfully. I can't forget her big sensational smile when she wakes up in the coffin at the middle of the song/clip, or every inebriated gaze from her to the eye of the camera (and us!), with phrases like "I'm grooving", "I'm your fantasy", or the philosophical stanza of "Sometimes I don't recognize my own face", not to mention the astonishing last shoot (that was highly astonishing!). You've got to love this sweet mad naughtiness in her. I've never seen such a fascinating beauty that radiates wild electricity like that since Marilyn Monroe or Ann-Margret (in fact Geri looks like a genius combination of them both!).

Therefore this documentary, despite its shortness, is another chance, else the clip, to win a look at her while she was in her finest hour, and that's what I call it a real gem. Small usual work.. But what a blaze.
