This is a show about Mr.McCready and his daughter.

When I saw the title "McCready And Daughter" I guessed it was going to be a comedy (or drama) about somebody called McCready and his (or her) daughter.

The trailers for "McCready And Daughter* told us it was a show about McCready and his daughter, and they were private detectives, and they lived in London, and they were played by Lorcan Cranitch and Patsy Palmer.

Then I watched the pilot,which told us at great length that his name is McCready and she is his daughter. It showed us how they teamed up,although as they are father and daughter, did we really need an origin story? It isn't like he found her in a spacecraft that came from Krypton. We got a tour of London, to show us where they live and work. There was a client who hired them to do something,but the pilot was so dull and so full of tiresome details that I barely noticed her. I certainly didn't care about her problem.

I suspect the writer was told that if he finished the script quickly, they could get Lorcan Cranitch (from "Father Ted"), and Patsy Palmer (from "EastEnders"),but he should have taken his time. Neither is a huge star.Neither turns in a great performance.

I was astonished when the terrible pilot was followed by a series. I was not surprised when the series turned out to be one of the worst detective series I have ever seen.

I do not know whether it is a comedy or a drama. Very little happens that is funny,but very little happens that is dramatic.Actually, very little happens.
