Factual errors: Bricklin carries a moderately sized backpack and is the only person in the group of three carrying a pack - yet he manages to bring a huge three person tent along with everything else the group needs. There is no way he could possibly carry that much gear in that size of a backpack. moreQuotes:
Catherine Viciy: A satellite phone! Glad to see you finally made it to the twenty-first century.Bob Thatcher: Yeah, but I went kickin' and screamin'.

Generally my cat likes to watch movies with me when there are some kinds of felines involved. However, when the creature in this one is revealed, he looked at me, washed his paws and backside and went to sleep with his back to the TV. He later attempted to bury the box. So what we have here is a failure to make a decent movie. Maybe there's a certain criteria to these Lion's Gate "Fright Flicks", as in, there are certain hokey rules they have to adhere to, like the movie must be along time lines of some bad 50's flick with modern sensibilities (i.e., the chick with the shirt that says, "Danger: Hottie"). Back in the day before "computer generated" monsters, it was necessary to have someone in a rubber suit or to disguise some kind of critter to look like the desired "monster". The result was often laughably bad. Now, thanks to modern technology, umm, the result is still laughably bad. Throw a bunch of city kids out in the woods, add a beautiful but cold-hearted scientist with ulterior motives, a big game hunter, a bumbling overweight goof, and there you have your cast. Oh, and don't forget the bear traps. There are only a four or five, but with all the acreage available for these folks to dash though in their quest to avoid this hideous special effect, somehow they manage to step in them. When the ammo was all gone and trees were going to be cut to make into spears, the viewing for the evening came to an abrupt end and the movie went into the trade pile. I have a couple of these other "Fright Flicks" I haven't watched yet. I can only hope they're better than this.
