Trivia:
When Donkey Kong got his own video game on the SNES, Diddy Kong was the side-kick. Diddy got a videogame on the N64, called Diddy Kong Racing. In this, two other playable characters were Conker and Banjo. Banjo was the first of the two which got his own game, Banjo-Kazooie. In Conker's Bad Fur Day, in the Pub where the main screen is, Banjo's head hangs as a trophy above the fireplace, and Kazooie's head is in the "Chapter" room at the end of an umbrella.

Many people are probably shocked by this game, and love it (or hate it) on shock value alone. But past all the swearing, crude jokes, and off-beat humor, this game is really, really good.
The one-player mode consists of Conker (a squirrel trying to find his way home after a really bad drinking binge/hangover) going around on various quests for money (which talks and has an attitude, I love it). It has some great movie spoofs in it which are just hilarious. The controls run very smoothly, and everything is easy to understand. It can get a bit frustrating at times with the camera, but once you get used to how to work it, it's fine. The average gamer could probably get through the one-player mode in 15-20 hours, but you don't feel ripped off when you get to the end, I would prefer 20 hours of quality over 50 hours of repetitive boredom any day. I think it has the best ending of any game I've played, and it's not what you might expect.
The graphics are top-notch for the N64, and the sound is excellent. Some of the songs in the game really are catchy, and they aren't repetitive and annoying. Some of the voices are hilarious as well, such as Gregg the grim reaper. This game is as good as they get for sound and looks for the N64.
While the one-player mode consists of countless moments of hilarity, the multi-player mode is even better.
My favorite multi-player game of the five the game offers, is a spoof on "Saving Private Ryan" where there are the evil Nazi teddy bears vs. the good french squirrels trying to get home. You can either be the teddy bears or the squirrels - if you are the squirrels you try to avoid the gunfire and if you are the teddy bears you inflict it. I don't think anything is as fun as picking off one of the squirrel's heads with a sniper rifle (no desensitization to violence there).
Obviously, this game is not for children, even an M rating is probably pushing it - this game is for people like me who enjoy the off-beat humor (the singing poo is priceless) but at the same time want a quality game, which Conker's Bad Fur Day definitely is. And also, people that aren't too sensitive to violence...
This game gets a 9.9/10. (No game has ever got a 10, I'm still leaving myself a tiny room for improvement here).
