This is not your average hood-movie, with a lot of disrespectful characters shooting at everything that looks at you the wrong way.Not that I don't enjoy those type of movies BUT this right here is something special.First of all the acting is for the most parts really good, especially SAM JONES III in his first filmed movie, (he also plays Pete Ross in TV-series SMALLVILLE), he really delivers with true intensity and holds the lead in a strong way for such newcomer.Not as many rappers in the various roles as you'd often get with hood-movies, there's only 3 that I can recall with NELLY having the biggest role of them (but not the biggest role of course, as its held by SAM JONES III and DEAN WINTERS).Yes DEAN WINTERS also deliver a solid lead as a pretty sleazy record executive, Winters also gets accompanied by fellow OZ-inmate JD WILLIAMS.I don't want to give away the story because it's the kind with a lot of twists in it, but basically it's about a teenager rap-fan who gets caught up in a very dangerous situation.That's all you need to know really, it's definitely worth both your time and your money.I really like this movie!
