A prison inmate, Alan Dobie, is left a set of seven keys in the will of another inmate. Dobie is not sure what to make of this since he had only met the dead man once. He asks around and discovers the dead man was doing a sentence for embezzling. It seems the tidy sum of 20,000 pounds was never recovered by the police. Do the keys have something to do with the cash? Dobie does the last 3 months of his sentence and then heads out to find the cash. He checks out the locks at the dead man's former house, car, his office and the man's son's flat. He finds all seven locks but no cash. He does however find that the man's son was being blackmailed. He confronts the blackmailer and tries a spot of blackmail himself. Dogging his tracks though are the police and several unsavory thugs. The thugs intend to relieve Dobie of the cash after he finds it while the police plan to arrest him as soon as he touches the loot. This film just zips along with not a wasted moment. A true low-budget sleeper with a good story and good work from the cast and crew. Well worth a look.
